This one means a little more to me than I can probably put into words. 🤍
Being chosen to be featured in Jacksonville Real Producers magazine is such an honor. When I started this journey in real estate, I never could have imagined all of the doors that would open, the people I would meet, the opportunities I would be given, or how much this career would change me along the way.
And when I look at moments like this, I can’t help but think about the people God placed in my path who believed in me before I fully believed in myself.
Dunia Taylor is one of those people.
I know she had a little something to do with my name being put in the room for this opportunity 😉, that speaks volumes about the kind of leader she is.
She has never been the kind of leader who needs to be the only person shining. She builds people up. She pushes them. She sees something in people and helps them see it in themselves. She genuinely wants the people around her to grow, succeed and become better versions of themselves.
She believed in me. She gave me opportunities. She challenged me. And because of her leadership and friendship, I truly believe I am a better version of myself today not just in business, but as a person.
I’m incredibly humbled when I look at where this career has taken me. I’m still just a little person in this big ol’ world trying to work hard, love people well, use my voice for something good and leave things a little better than I found them.
And maybe that’s why one of the things closest to my heart right now is our 12 Months of Giving.
Yes, I sell houses. I absolutely love what I do. But if the platform I’m building can also bring attention to a nonprofit that needs help, introduce our community to people doing incredible work, fill a donation box, provide something a family desperately needs, or inspire someone else to get involved… then THAT means something to me.
I know asking people and businesses to continually show up, donate, share and get involved is a big ask. But I’ve also seen what happens when a community decides to show up together.
You don’t have to change the whole world to make a difference in someone’s world.
Sometimes you just have to be willing to be one small piece of the hope. 🤍
So I’m going to keep pushing. Keep growing. Keep learning. Keep using my voice. Keep serving my customers. Keep showing up for my community. And keep walking through every door God opens for me.
I don’t know where this journey will take me next, but I’m incredibly grateful for where it has already taken me.
And to anyone watching someone else accomplish something and wondering if you’re capable of doing the same…
You are.
You can do so much more than you think you can. Work hard. Stay humble. Love people. Surround yourself with people who want to see you win. And don’t be afraid to take up a little space in this big ol’ world.
I’m still climbing. Still learning. Still becoming.
And I’m incredibly thankful for every single step. 🤍
