During my stint as Scoutmaster for Troop 199 for a rew years, I led our troop away from a 'car camping' oriented troop to more of an expeditionary crew, hiking the Appalacian Trail, Klondike Campouts and Wilderness Survival weekends without tents. Our great staff guided many Eagle Scouts including my son Clay Grigg . It is pleasing to hear since then several scouts have become good and strong men, Navy sharp shooters, marines and other adults successful in their respective careers.
