Moved into a new home this week 😅
This makes me think every realtor needs to move every few years to remember all the work it takes to get this done🤣
It was a great reminder that your move will only be as smooth as the systems you create before the boxes even show up.
Here’s everything I did before move-in day to make the entire process easier:
✅Color-coded labels for every room
✅Donate, sell or trash items you aren’t taking
✅Heavy-duty moving bags instead of boxes
✅Mattress bags to keep beds clean
✅Planned a safe place for dogs for moving day
✅Cleaned out every cabinet by category
✅Took photos/videos of anything that needs reassembled
✅Get at least 2 moving company quotes
✅Mapped out where big furniture goes in each room for movers
If you don’t plan before the movers arrive, you’re just unpacking chaos in a different zip code.
