You know Mandarin has my heart—but I also believe there’s more than one great place to build a life in Jacksonville.

I filmed this a couple of years ago to highlight a few neighborhoods that sometimes get overlooked: Ortega, Murray Hill and Arlington. Each has its own personality, history and reasons people love living there.

Mandarin may be my specialty, but part of helping people well is understanding the bigger Jacksonville picture—and knowing that the right neighborhood depends on the life you want to live.

One of the things I love most about Mandarin is that it doesn't feel like every other neighborhood.

You can drive down one street and find a beautifully preserved historic home with a story to tell. Turn the corner and you'll see thoughtfully designed newer homes that fit today's lifestyle. That mix of history and progress is part of what gives Mandarin its character.

In this video, I take you on a quick tour of some of the architecture that makes this corner of Jacksonville so special—including a stop at Walter Jones Historical Park, where you can experience a little piece of Mandarin's past.
