The complete real deal...I told Vell this am, the last part I just read was a mic drop and I couldn't even read another page until I let it sit, and I didn't come back to it all day. If you know me, you know I have never ever been a fan of the US education system, even since I was in school myself, and now I know even more why that is. We are taught complete falsehoods...
If you read anything this year, let it be this book right here.
Michael Harriot writes so beautifully, and for some reason, most of the black history books I have tried to read had me so angry, I couldn't finish. He gives you facts, but he also gives you history in a way that relates to today, and I never want to say it's funny, but honestly, his foot notes are hilarious. You will probably be disgusted, angry, etc, but what I feel the most is proud!! Straight Black Pride. I'm not even finished reading it yet and I had to share. If you really want the facts,
