🌎 Think Global. Act Local. 💙

We were excited to welcome freshmen students and chaperones from The Bolles School to Pine Castle for a meaningful morning of learning, service, and connection!

As part of Bolles’ Think Global, Act Local initiative, students experienced a modified Pine Castle Experience Tour, learned more about our mission and the adults we serve, and spent time engaging one-on-one with Pine Castle participants through music, art, games, and other interactive activities.

We are grateful to The Bolles School for choosing Pine Castle for their volunteer service. Thank you for sharing your time, energy, and kindness with our participants. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Castle! 🏰✨

Creativity and teamwork are part of every day at Pine Castle, and our annual Halloween/Fall Door Decorating Contest brought plenty of both! Our participants and staff teamed up to transform their doors into fun, festive, and frightfully creative displays. Add a little friendly competition, and you can feel the excitement in the air! 🧡

🏆 And the winners are…

🎉 Best Overall Door: Seniors (Shop 14)

🎨 Most Creative Door: Shop 3

🙌 Greatest Participation: Shop 5

👻 Spookiest Door: Shop 12

Congratulations to all our winners! And a huge shoutout to everyone who participated! It was wonderful to see the creative ideas come to life, the pride and excitement as participants showed off their creations, and the teamwork that made each display special.

🤝💙 Welcoming a NEW Pine Castle Partnership! 💙

We are excited to welcome American District Telegraph (ADT) as a new community partner of Pine Castle!

Building meaningful partnerships is an important part of strengthening our community and creating more opportunities for the adults we serve to learn, work, and connect.

During their first visit to Pine Castle, the ADT team experienced our Pine Castle Experience (PCE) Tour and joined us for a meaningful volunteer experience. Their team spent time across campus engaging with participants, sharing conversations, laughter, activities, and plenty of smiles along the way. 💚

Welcome to the Pine Castle family, ADT! We look forward to all we can accomplish together. 🌟

Growing a More Inclusive Community 💚

We were so happy to welcome Girl Scout Troop 1414 to the Pine Castle campus!

The girls spent time learning about Pine Castle’s history and mission, then put their learning into action by creating handmade cards for the residents in our group homes. They also spent the afternoon connecting with our participants through playing games, singing, and creating art projects together. 🎨🎶💌

Community engagement is so important. Giving young people opportunities to learn about and connect with people who may be different from them helps build understanding, compassion, and acceptance. Teaching our youth the importance of embracing every person, celebrating our differences, and recognizing the value each individual brings to our community is vital to our future.

Thank you, Girl Scout Troop 1414, for spending your day with us and sharing your kindness, creativity, and joy! 💚

Together, we are building a community where everyone has a place to belong.

🧠💚 World Mental Health Day | October 10, 2026 💚🧠

This year’s World Mental Health Day theme, “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” reminds us of the importance of listening to people, valuing their experiences, and creating spaces where every voice matters.

💚 We celebrate the participants of Pine Castle and the team members who walk alongside them, creating opportunities for real voices, meaningful connections, and positive change.

🕺💃 We Danced, We Moved & We Had a Blast! 🎶

Our Pine Castle participants turned back the clock for an 80’s Dance Party filled with great music, big smiles, movement, and plenty of fun! 🪩✨

A special THANK YOU to our wonderful dance instructor, Cheri from The Line Dance Experience by The Wedding Line Dance Company, for sharing her time, talent, and energy with Pine Castle! We are so grateful for her support and for creating such a fun experience for our participants. 💙

Participants practiced listening and following line-dance instructions, worked on coordination and movement, and encouraged one another along the way. Most importantly, everyone had the opportunity to move, laugh, connect, and enjoy time together!

From learning the steps to cheering each other on, it was a wonderful reminder that learning can be active, social, and FUN! 🎶✨

We came to dance… and we definitely made some memories! 💃🕺

Our guests took a behind-the-scenes look at Pine Castle, learning about our history, mission, programs, and the incredible journeys of the adults we serve. 💙
But the afternoon didn’t stop with a tour! The ALA team spent time connecting directly with our Employment Program participants, reviewing resumes and conducting mock interviews to help participants build confidence, practice important job-readiness skills, and prepare for future employment opportunities.

Sometimes the most meaningful gifts come with no name attached—just a whole lot of heart.

Pine Castle recently received a generous donation of backpacks for our participants from anonymous donors, and we are incredibly grateful!

These gifts are more than backpacks. They are a tangible reminder to our participants that their community cares about them, supports them, and wants to see them thrive.

To our anonymous donors: THANK YOU! Your generosity brought smiles, excitement, and joy to our participants, and we are so grateful that you chose to bless the Pine Castle community.
