Due to recent storm damage and a current power outage, the entire park is closed until further notice!

This includes trailheads, trails, day-use areas, cabin and campground roads, and the Visitor Center. We are currently working on storm damage cleanup and will update the public when the park is open. Highway 154 is currently open through the park, but please avoid the area unless it is necessary.

We appreciate your patience during this time.

Music is an important part of Appalachian culture. It has been used for many years to tell stories, record history, and entertain. Bandy Creek Pool Now Open for the 2023 Season!

Bandy Creek pool and wading pool will open for the 2023 season on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM (ET). The hours of operation will be from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays through Labor Day.

Daily use fees are free for 5 years old and under, $2 for 6-12 years old, and $3 for 13 and older. Use the following link for more information:

Rentals are available everyday from 8:00am-4:00pm CST.
