Everyone wants to know when rates are going to drop. But are we focusing on the wrong number?

According to Michael, the focus shouldn’t necessarily be on the interest rate alone. What matters more is how the overall monthly payment fits into YOUR budget.

Instead of waiting for rates to return to 3%, ask yourself: What monthly payment am I comfortable with? What can I realistically afford without stretching myself too thin?

And for everyone still waiting on those 3% rates, Michael has a little perspective: Remember what was happening in the world the last time rates were that low? Pretty sure none of us are asking to go back to 2020! 😂

The takeaway? Don’t let an interest rate make the decision for you. Look at the entire financial picture and find a payment that works for your lifestyle.
