Have you heard?? 🏠 The City Council has approved two new housing developments, continuing efforts to expand housing opportunities to meet the needs of our growing community! 🤩
Moreau Valley Apartments, located on Schotthill Woods Drive, will bring a 48 unit complex focused on affordable housing through the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. The development will include 12 two bedroom units, 36 three bedroom units, a community building, and a dedicated playground space.
The second project, Walnut Hills, is a single family development near the 3800 block of Rock Ridge Road. Originally proposed as a 230 home community, the updated plan now includes 140 homes after site evaluations revealed significant bedrock conditions. The revised design reduces density, increases green space, and better aligns with the natural landscape. The development will also feature three distinct home styles to offer a variety of options for future homeowners.
As exciting as new developments are, it is important to remember the value of having a Realtor® represent you, especially when purchasing new construction. 🤓
Builder representatives work for the builder, not the buyer. Without your own representation, you may miss opportunities to negotiate pricing, upgrades, and contract terms, and you may not have someone advocating for you if challenges arise during the building process. 😬
