Sick building syndrome (SBS) is used to describe situations in which building occupants experience acute and/or long term health problems that appear to be linked to time spent in a building. Anyone that has chronic health issues, even if its just a headache, should do everything they can to make sure it's not their home.

Today is day 2 of Air Quality Awareness Week! The focus today is on Asthma and Your Health – and today is also World Asthma Day! It’s a great time to learn how to manage environmental asthma triggers to improve quality of life.

If you have asthma, air pollution is one trigger that you can take steps to manage. You can be proactive by checking air quality before heading outdoors, scheduling outdoor activities when air quality is better and staying inside with windows closed when pollutants are high. Also, make sure to sign up for NH Air Quality Action Day Alerts (via EnviroFlash), which are issued when the air quality is expected to be unhealthy: https://www.enviroflash.info/
