Our father, Jacob (Jake) Groot immigrated from the Netherlands to America soon after WWII and within a year was working in the building industry. He soon struck out on his own and over the next 40+ years he became one of the most successful and respected home builders, brokers and Realtors® in the West Michigan area. He built hundreds of homes, was a master of understanding client needs, skilled at building homes with excellence, well versed in buying, selling and trading homes, and a consummate networker and relationship builder (Jake was awarded The B.E.A.M.
