From sweepers to supervisors, management to the President of CDS, today we took a moment to reflect on the women who helped shape us into who we are. From lessons about hard work, kindness, patience, and perseverance to the little things that make our moms unforgettable, every story shared today came from the heart.

Mothers teach us more than we often realize. They teach us how to care for others, how to keep going during difficult times, and how to show up every single day with love and strength.

Today is special, and we want to thank the moms, grandmothers, mother figures, and caregivers everywhere for everything you do both seen and unseen.

🎉Big things are happening for our clients and the amazing communities we serve!

❤️Special thanks to NJ.com for covering the groundbreaking for Sal Bontempo Park this week (Link in bio). This project is a milestone for the Bloomfield Avenue/Lower Broadway BID and highlights the vision and commitment of the City of Newark to greater sustainability and environmental design for the City’s parks and public spaces.

💡The relationship between the built environment and investor confidence is direct. When a BID partners with local government to invest in the “commons”—the shared physical, code, and content layers of a district—it reduces the perceived risk for private capital and drives investment and economic development forward.

👉That partnership is fully displayed here as the Bloomfield Avenue/Lower Broadway BID proudly funds 25% of this $1.2 million capital project. By keeping overhead low and focusing on high-ROI initiatives, we’re able to drive real investment into the downtowns and commercial corridors that we serve.

From seasonal plantings and ongoing planter maintenance to expanding tree canopies in partnership with local Shade Tree Commissions, we’re focused on creating cleaner, greener, and more welcoming corridors. These efforts aren’t just aesthetic they improve walkability, support local businesses, and contribute to the overall health of our communities.

Across every district we serve, this is part of the standard: maintaining public spaces, investing in beautification, and building environments people want to spend time in.
