Buying a home in Hudson County, NJ? I don’t rush my buyers past questions that could affect them long after closing.
A beautiful kitchen, waterfront view, or freshly painted room can make a property feel right immediately. I still want to know what is behind that first impression.
How old are the systems? Has there been water intrusion? Were repairs and building work properly permitted? Do the property taxes, HOA or maintenance fees, insurance, and expected repairs fit the buyer’s real monthly budget? For a condo, what do the reserves, assessments, and upcoming projects tell us?
These questions matter whether you are buying a condo in Jersey City, a home in Bayonne, a townhouse in Hoboken, or a property anywhere in Hudson County. Pressure to move quickly is not a substitute for clear answers.
The home can be right. The questions still matter.
