I DON’T JUST BUDGET MY MONEY—I BUY MYSELF TIME.
Every January, I try to pay as many of my bills for the ENTIRE YEAR as I can.
I look at what I spent the previous year, guesstimate the upcoming year, and PLAN accordingly.
Why?
Because my income is commission-based. I can have a GREAT month and then have a quiet one.
So my mindset is simple:
If I didn’t sell another house today, how much TIME have I given myself to figure it out?
When January comes, some BIG checks go out. 😩😂
But those checks cover expenses I would otherwise be paying every single month.
That means I’m not starting every month asking, “What bills are due?”
I’m asking, “What am I building next?”
For me, financial peace isn’t just about how much money you make.
It’s about PLANNING. PREPARATION. AND POSITIONING.
A good year should help prepare you for a slow year.
I’m not trying to LOOK rich every month.
I’m trying to make sure my future months are already handled.
If I’ve bought myself 12 months of breathing room, I’ve bought myself 12 months to make my next move.
That’s my kind of financial freedom. 💰🏡
