Colby Shear was born and raised on the southeast coast of Florida, and moved to Georgia in 1992. She comes from a background of 23 years in the Real Estate industry, one of those years in residential real estate marketing and 22 years specializing in community associations. After 15 years serving homeowners as an Association Manager, Colby moved on to head the Management Services Team for a large
Atlanta management company. From There Colby moved into the Declarant Services world, creating the Associations, serving on the Boards of Directors and representing the Board on behalf first of an Australian land investment group, and then a national residential home builder. During those years Colby earned the highest designations and certifications available to community association professionals, co-chaired the Community Association Institutes Manager Education Committee, has served on professional panels and authored articles for community association publications. Colby maintains her membership with the Community Associations Institute, as well as the designations of Certified Manager of Community Associations certification, Association Management Specialist and the prestigious Professional Community Association Manager designations in order to bring the highest level of knowledge and expertise to her real estate clients. Colby Shear entered the Real Estate Sales world in order to help people accomplish not just home ownership, but finding the home and the community they will love, at the highest service level available. Colby works with both buyers and sellers, helping them navigate the process with as little effort as possible on their behalf, and with the best outcome. Colby lives in Johns Creek, GA with her two teenage children and their English Bulldog. She spends her free time working on a small photography business, volunteering as much of her time as possible to charity events and projects. Colby has donated her time and photography skills to events benefiting special needs children and adults, domestic violence and military families.
