Never Stop Evolving
After 15-plus years spent working in the HVAC industry in the Atlanta area, I moved to East Tennessee in the fall of 2001. And like so many others who have visited or moved to our region, I quickly fell in love with the beauty of the area, and her warm, friendly people. In the years since, I have explored our region extensively and have become quite familiar with the tri-cities and surrounding towns and communities, from my adopted hometown of Johnson City to the majestic, mountain communities of Roan Mountain, Shady Valley, Erwin and others, to the lush, fertile, rolling hills and farmlands of Greene County and the surrounding Nolichucky River basin. My familiarity with the region stems from some of my greatest passions in life: a love of Nature, canoeing, history and old houses, as well as a strong sense of curiosity and desire to explore new things and new places.
I graduated from ETSU with a bachelor's degree in communications in the spring of 2009, at the age of 46. For ten years, before, during, and after the six years it took me to earn my degree, I waited tables to pay my bills and keep a roof over my head. Believe me, I understand the value of a dollar. I also understand the value of hard work, determination and perseverance. I went onto work for the Department of Human Services in Union County, TN, near Knoxville, as an eligibility counselor for six-plus years. Earlier this year, I left that position to pursue a longtime dream of becoming a realtor. In that process, I sold my home in Union County and returned to Johnson City to carry out my mission of helping others experience the joy of home ownership.
