Working in Johnson City real estate gives me a front row seat to some of the best full circle moments. 🫶

And somehow, every single one of these happened just this week.

The first time buyer who starts out convinced they’ll never feel ready, and getting their keys at the closing table.

The past client who trusted me enough to send someone they care about my way, then texts after closing just to say how happy they are that they got the help they needed.

The person who’s been following along from another state, learning the neighborhoods and saving all my local recommendations, who eventually reaches out and says, “Okay, you officially made me fall in love with Johnson City. I think I’m ready to move.”

Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.

Because I get to see people before the decision feels real, walk alongside them while they figure it out, and sometimes get a little glimpse of the life they built after the paperwork is finished.

That part never gets old.

Experience in real estate changes what you’re impressed by.

Early on, it’s easy to think success looks like closing deals every single week or having posts get tons of shares.

After seven years, I care a lot more about the things that don’t photograph well.

Knowing when to slow a client down before they make an expensive decision. Catching the detail that changes the entire conversation. Having the right person to call when something unexpected shows up three days before closing.

The longer I do this, the less interested I am in the flashy stats and the more interested I am in being useful.

Because my clients will never remember how packed my calendar was that year.

They’ll remember whether I made a stressful decision. Feel clearer. Whether I told them the truth when it would’ve been easier not to. Whether I knew what to do when the plan changed.

That’s the version of experience I care about now.
