☀️💐🌸 Sunday Spotlight 🌸💐☀️

What a beautiful day spent celebrating spring with our residents & their loved ones at our Friends & Family Event! From delicious sweet treats by Mimi’s Ice Cream & Desserts Truck 🍦 to fresh produce from the Appalachian RC&D Council’s pop-up Farmer’s Market 🥕🍓, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Residents also sang their hearts out & danced the afternoon away with karaoke & music by DJ Michael 🎤🎶 Events like these remind us how special it is to come together as a community, make memories, & celebrate the joy of friendship & family. Thank you to everyone who joined us & helped make the day so memorable! ❤️

We're so thankful for the Appalachian RC&D Council's amazing pop up Farmer's Market & the opportunity it gave our residents to pick out some fresh produce at our annual springtime Friends & Family event. 🥬🫜😋

🤩 Sunday Spotlight 🤩

This month’s “Get to Know Your Neighbor” talk featured Rosemary - better known as Ro - who took us back to her days as “Little Ro” on American Bandstand. As one of the youngest & most recognizable dancers, she was part of the show’s exclusive “Committee” & even helped introduce future regulars to the lineup. Ro shared stories from her time on the show, including briefly dating singer Nino Bambino after he sang "Happy Birthday" to her live, which resulted in her receiving fan mail. It's always a joy to hear about our resident's experiences & learn more about the incredible lives within our community. 💃🏻✨

Thanking the Joy Choir from Central Baptist Church for sharing their time & talents with our residents. Their uplifting performance brought so much joy to our community, & our residents truly enjoyed spending the afternoon singing along & listening to such wonderful music. We are so grateful for the kindness, fellowship, & smiles they brought to everyone here. Thank you again for a beautiful visit! 🎶💕

🥁 Sunday Spotlight 🥁

Keeping the energy high during our Drumfit Class with Diane. Residents had such a great time staying active to upbeat music while enjoying the fun & excitement of the class. The room was filled with smiles, rhythm, & lots of energy from start to finish. A big thank you to Diane for leading such a fun & engaging activity for our community!🥁🎶

Honoring the wonderful mothers in our community at our Mother’s Day Rose Tea Social 🌹☕ Residents gathered for an afternoon filled with tea, cakes, laughter, & sweet conversation as we celebrated the women who have shared so much love & wisdom throughout their lives. Dressed in bright spring colors & flower-adorned hats, everyone brought such joy & beauty to the occasion. Each resident also received a lovely teabag tray to take home as a small keepsake from a very special day. 🥰

Celebrating in style 🏇 With hats in place & excitement in the air, our community gathered to watch the Kentucky Derby together. The Activity Room was full as residents showed off their creations, followed the race, & took in all the pageantry that makes Derby Day such a special tradition. 👒💞✨
