For our Grundy County followers - here's some great info about the marketplace in your area!
We saw quite a shift in our marketplace over the month of December here in Grundy County. But the average days on the market for Single Family Listings here is still sitting around that 35 days mark at the end of January. In December and early January, we saw sellers willing to bend a little more on offer prices, and closing concessions being given more commonly than we've seen in the last 2 years... However, it appears we are back to an intensely low inventory (only 34 new listings in the month of January in ALL of Grundy County!) and multiple offer situations in most cases.
What does this mean? It means its still a GREAT time to sell! Interest rates are hovering right around that 6% mark and while the buyer pool may be a little thinner than it was when rates were sitting at 3%, there are still buyers who are trying to make a move, but have very few options based on this low inventory!
