Goodbye Romeoville… Hello Ottawa! 🏡

Not every home buying and home selling journey is smooth—and Kristen and Nick’s story is proof that persistence and the right strategy matter.

We secured a buyer for their home in Romeoville in just 12 days on the market and had them under contract on a home in Seneca with a same-day closing planned.

Then, less than three weeks before closing, everything changed. The sellers of the Seneca home suddenly realized they needed to bring $40,000 to closing—funds they didn’t have. A situation that could have been avoided with proper upfront planning.

At that point, we had one option: pivot fast.

In a single day, we covered multiple counties to find a new home—and we found it in Ottawa. We moved quickly, completed inspections, negotiated repairs, and got everything back on track.

We closed successfully. 🎉

Happy Birthday to me… and to my real estate business! 🏠

April 21st is always special, but this year it means even more. While I celebrate another trip around the sun, I’m also celebrating 21 years in real estate—on the 21st!

On April 21, 2005, I asked my husband to drive me from Joliet to Springfield so I could take my real estate exam—368 miles round trip just to take the test. He looked at me and said, “Why would you want to go all the way to Springfield to take your test when you can take it the following week in Chicago?” And I said, “Baby, this would mean a lot to me—how cool would it be to get my license on my birthday… and we can visit the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum?”

Was I a salesperson in training or what? 😂
