Born and raised in the Moosabec area, Julia's strong work ethic was shaped by growing up as the daughter of a fisherman and now as the wife of a fisherman. As a junior in high school, she enlisted in the Maine Army National Guard, where she developed the commitment and discipline that continue to guide her today.

Julia has dedicated 27 years to the healthcare field, beginning her career with Down East Community Hospital at Sunrise Care Facility in Jonesport and now serving in Human Resources at DECH.

Beyond her professional career, Julia has always believed in giving back to her community, serving on several committees and putting in volunteer time.
