Back in the classroom today—but this time on the other side of the desk as a student!

It was a great day of learning from Peter Banwell at the Hillsdale County Board of REALTORS® office. With so many changes, updates, and unique situations in our profession, continuing to learn and stay current is incredibly important.

I especially enjoyed the real-life examples and situations Peter shared throughout the day. There’s always something new to learn in real estate, and today was a great reminder that experience and education go hand in hand.

Since transitioning to real estate full time two years ago, following 25+ years in education, Nate is now the 6th former student I’ve had the pleasure of helping buy or sell a home.

Nate was a 6th grader at JMS during my first year there as principal. Fast forward about 15 years, and I had the opportunity to help him find a house to call home right here in Jonesville.

There’s something pretty special about getting to work with these former “kids” as adults and helping them through one of the biggest purchases of their lives. I truly appreciate the trust they place in me, and I really enjoy having the chance to reconnect with them after all these years.
