Our Downtown Lofts Tour is just a bit more than three weeks away--have you purchased your tickets yet?
Our May 2 tour will allow you to visit spaces that have otherwise limited access--including the first newly constructed infill building in our historic district!
We are pleased to announce another property on the tour--the Moss-DeGraff Building, located on the very-happening 900 block of Main Street. While most of the properties we focus on during our Lofts Tour are examples of restoration work or adaptive reuse (converting a crusty old warehouse into chic lofts, for example), this building fills another important (and literal) gap.
When buildings are NOT taken care of or fall victim to disaster (in this case, the Rains Brothers Building, a victim of a fire in 2012), it leaves unsightly holes in our downtown skyline. It's gratifying to see the work being done here to rectify that. Tour participants will be able to see a lovely, light-filled apartment spaces on the second floor and commercial space on the ground level.
This “open house-style” tour will take you into some of downtown’s most fascinating properties–some units will be fully furnished and occupied, others will still be in process of renovation.
Tickets are $25 per person and will grant entry to all the properties on the tour, as well as a commemorative guidebook. https://www.eventeny.com/events/ticket/?id=18798
A limited quantity of tickets for Tip Top Toast: A VIP Reception Under the Stars, are still available (and include a tour ticket!). At Tip Top Toast, revelers will gather on the rooftop of the historic Columbian Building at 418 S Main and enjoy live music, two signature cocktails, wine, beer, a keepsake etched rocks glass, and delicious small plates and sweet treats from Starry Eyed Girl Joplin, all while enjoying sweeping views of downtown.
This fundraiser benefits Downtown Joplin Alliance, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to the continued revitalization of our historic downtown district.
