Thanksgiving is a time for family fellowship and reflecting. Our residents invited their family members for Thanksgiving dinner. We had a wonderful time watching families interact, visit, laugh and just enjoy being together! And the food…delicious! We thank everyone for coming!
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Autumn Place RCF of Joplin!

Spreading the love on Valentines’s Day!

The staff provided our residents a day to remember.
The festivities began with an auction. Residents were provided a numbered paddle and Monopoly money to purchase a variety of items. Those strawberry Swiss rolls were very popular and sold for a whopping $9.

Prior to the event, each resident was given a ballot which included a list of all residents. Each resident voted for a Valentine king and queen who possessed the qualities of kindness and helpfulness (and other great qualities). Third, second, first runner up and king & queen were announced.

Finally, the residents were provided with a fine dining experience. It was great fun giving our folks some extra pampering! And as always, we are honored and privileged to be given the opportunity to care for each one of our residents!

Our annual Christmas party was a success. As we reflect on 2024 and those we lost, we remember and honor them with the wonderful memories we created. Looking forward to 2025, we welcome a fresh beginning, setting new goals, and making new and cherished memories. We are grateful for our residents, their families and of course, our staff who work together to make it all happen. Oh, and we must not forget Santa, the jolliest of them all! From our home to yours, Merry Christmas & the happiest New Year!

It is with a heavy heart that the staff and residents said good bye to our long time resident and friend Hank, on August 31, 2024.
We have wonderful memories of Hank that will live on in our hearts. He was our resident jokester, card player and all around fun guy. He loved home made ice cream and classic rock. Hank knew a little bit about everything and often shared his knowledge of trivia with those around him. Hank could also tell what seemed like the tallest of tales. But if you knew Hank, you knew there was always some truth to each tale.
Hank was family and he will be missed by so many of us. RIP friend!

We have such great residents with wonderful family members. In the past month, one of our families treated the staff and residents with a catered meal as we celebrated the life of their matriarch! Family members served the meal, did the clean up, and gave us the opportunity to remember this very special lady. Thank you Mark & Gina Hutchinson and Family!

Another resident’s son blesses us with fresh donuts which is also a special treat and a thank you goes out to Jeff Bell!

AND yesterday Daniel Koucky arrived and placed beautiful new planters on our front sidewalk with beautiful flowers.

You ALL have touched our hearts in big ways! “Thank you” doesn’t seem adequate for your kindness in a world that is sometimes not so kind! Our love for each of you!

PS The donuts were devoured before pictures could be obtained 😜

Last week we made tea party hats, this week we had a tea party. It was a lot of fun and we all learned a little bit more about each other.
