We are happy to announce that today ‘Burns Investments’ will be the new owners of our apartment complex. One of our sweet tenants, DuShawnne Neicey Hoyt , had a going away lunch for Denise, Lamont and us today. Thank You Neicey, we love you. Many of our tenants dropped by to give Denise and Lamont a tearful hug and best wishes.

Along with The Charles Moore family, we began building the complex in 1984. It has been been a long ride …. one filled with many wonderful memories.

We now look forward to a long awaited retirement…. 🙏😁

Many of our residents still reside with us and were in their apartments today 10 years ago when Joplin changed. I spoke to several this past week about that evening. Many helped the injured as they walked from just a few blocks toward safety of the area that houses our tenants. Some housed volunteers for days to come. Selflessness was on stage that day and for endless days, months, and years to come.
