Riverview School District will have an early dismissal today due to a water main break in Judsonia. Car riders and walkers are being dismissed at 2:00. Buses will begin routes home by 2:15.

FOUNDERS DAY IS THIS SATURDAY

Bald K**b turns 145 this week, and Saturday is our chance to celebrate the hometown we share.

Join us September 19 at the Downtown Courtyard. The festival runs from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with bounce houses, children’s games, live music, local vendors, a car and audio show, historical displays, a silent auction, raffle, and prizes throughout the afternoon.

Catfish tournament registration will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 a.m. at Fast Eddie’s Bait and Tackle. The tournament weigh-in begins at 3:00 p.m.

The Kids Decorating Contest and Parade will line up from 12:30 to 12:45 p.m. at First Baptist Church. The parade and festival begin at 1:00 p.m.

The catfish fry will be served from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Donations will be accepted, and each $10 donation earns one entry in the door prize drawing.

Bring the family, invite your friends, and come help us celebrate Bald K**b’s 145th birthday.

FOUNDERS DAY KIDS DECORATING CONTEST AND PARADE

Give the kids a chance to be part of Bald K**b’s 145th birthday celebration this Saturday, September 19.

Children are invited to decorate their bikes, wagons, wheelchairs, or scooters and join us for a short parade, just for them, from First Baptist Church to the Downtown Courtyard.

Lineup: 12:30 to 12:45 p.m.
Parade begins: 1:00 p.m.

Children ages 3 through 12 are welcome to participate. Children with disabilities or special needs are welcome with no age limit. Prizes will be awarded.

After the parade, stay and enjoy the bounce houses, children’s games, music, vendors, car and audio show, and the rest of the Founders Day celebration.

Let’s give the children of Bald K**b a fun hometown experience and a memory they can carry with them.

FOUNDERS DAY SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE

Show a little hometown pride during Bald K**b’s 145th birthday celebration this Saturday.

Official Bald K**b Founders Day shirts are now available at Market Cafe.

Small through XL: $20
2XL and larger: $23

Buying a shirt does more than give you something to wear Saturday. It also helps the Hometown Activities Committee raise money for future community events.

We are a new nonprofit organization starting with no dedicated funding. The more we are able to raise and reinvest, the more activities and events we can provide for Bald K**b in the future. Every shirt purchased helps us begin building that foundation.

Pick yours up before Saturday and wear it to the celebration. It will also make a great keepsake from Bald K**b’s 145th birthday.

Availability may vary by size, so stop by Market Cafe to get yours.
