UPDATE: Due to the overwhelming support the community is receiving, they have asked to pause all donations at this time. All items donated will be delivered as soon as they begin accepting them again. Thank you to everyone who has stepped up!

Be sure to follow United Way of Junction City - Geary County for updates and to sign up to help sort donations.

Friends and neighbors, as many of you know, 36 units were displaced due to the fire at Geary Estates Apartments in Grandview Plaza. They are accepting donations at their office, but if you cannot get over there, I am collecting donations at our office. I will be making daily deliveries to Geary Estates as donations come in.

It is finally completed! Exit 299 bridge construction has been finished and is open to the public!

J-Hill Road bridge is fully open to traffic
The Kansas Department of Transportation has completed bridge replacement of the J-Hill Road bridge over I-70 in Geary County. The bridge is now fully open to traffic.
The J-Hill Road bridge was closed to traffic in March 2025 due to structural findings from a recent bridge inspection and bridge replacement began in August 2025.
King Construction, of Hesston, was the prime contractor for this project.
