Final walkthroughs should be an easy and simple walk in the park. The reality is that 99% of the time they are. Today, not so much. We close Monday and the HOA won’t give approval until that little dirt stain under the flagpole is either painted or cleaned. They also want new outdoor light fixtures. And we find this out at 2:00pm on the Friday before Monday’s closing. AND my clients have the beds included in the contract. Well, beds are there but no mattresses. The seller misunderstood the request. Again, closing is Monday and seller lives in NY. Thankfully, the seller’s Realtor is great and together we will come up with a solution. This is why who you work with matters. This is why going it alone is not a great idea. Don’t get caught without help- that’s why we’re here!
