Our version of fall prep looks a little different in Jupiter. The AC is still working hard, afternoon rain can still roll through, and October evenings are perfect for spending time outside. Here are a few simple things to check around the house this month:

-Give the AC some attention. Replace the filter if it’s due, and make sure vents aren’t blocked.
-Clear gutters and outdoor drains. Leaves and debris can pile up quickly after summer storms.
-Walk around the exterior. Look for loose screens, worn weatherstripping, or anything you’ve been meaning to repair.
-Check outdoor lighting. It’s especially helpful before trick-or-treaters and holiday guests arrive.
-Freshen up the patio or porch. A quick clean can make those lovely October evenings even more inviting.

Jupiter’s August 2026 real estate numbers are in!

Compared with July: Single-family home sales decreased from 112 to 79, while the median sales price remained steady at just over $1.05 million. Homes also moved faster, with the median time to contract dropping from 58 days to 49 days.

Condo and townhouse sales decreased from 76 to 46, and the median sales price shifted from $535,000 to $440,000.

Inventory also declined in both categories, giving buyers fewer homes to choose from as we headed into fall.
