SIDE-BY-SIDE COLLABORATION

Life can throw our clients curve balls. When the situation is complicated and time is of the essence to sell, we need to think and reach outside of the box. Assessing all the moving parts, asking the right questions, then reaching out to our connections and resources is part of the process.

For this complicated sale, we decided an agent collaboration would give our customer the best and quickest results. We enlisted the expertise of our friend, Erik Johnson. Jim (Read) and Erik worked well together in business banking for years then both transitioned to commercial real estate. I was also hands-on in the sale; as a female, I offered another valuable perspective, especially since our client is a woman business owner.

The four of us worked very well together as we tackled the issues from the same side of the table...SIDE-BY-SIDE. One thing Jim and I learned in our marriage is to sit on the same side of table and point at the problems, not at each other. This works well in business, too.

So the next time you face some very tough giants in your line of work, don't be afraid or too prideful to call in some reinforcements. A cord of three strands is not easily broken. Thank you, Erik- let's do it again!
