Another one closed, and this one was a reminder that every deal really does have its own story.
Back in late November, these lovely clients walked into my office after seeing a friend’s closing posted on Facebook. They had been quietly saving for a while and felt like it might finally be time.
By December, we were out looking. They wanted something move-in ready, not a project. We toured a few homes and narrowed in pretty quickly.
We found the one they really loved. Of course, it had multiple offers. Timing was tight, and I was literally boarding a flight while final details were coming together. A colleague from my brokerage stepped in to help make sure everything was handled smoothly while I was in the air.
We structured the offer carefully and made it strong without being reckless. Or so we thought. When I didn't hear from the seller's agent, I knew there was something wrong and we're hanging by the thread. Oh no, we will lose the bid! As soon as my plane landed, I had to quickly revise our offer and this time, we came back stronger. The seller had options, but they chose ours.
Fast forward to closing day, and these buyers walked into a home with over six figures in equity from day one.
