"Motivation is great when it's there.

But motivation is unreliable.

Some days you're excited.
Some days you're tired.
Some days you question whether what you're doing is even working.

That's where consistency matters.

Building wealth isn't usually one big decision that changes everything. It's the small decisions you keep making when nobody is watching.

Investing when the amount feels small.
Learning when you'd rather scroll.
Following through when the results aren't immediate.
Showing up even after the excitement wears off.

You don't need to feel motivated every day.

You need to keep moving.

Follow me if you're building wealth, changing your financial life, and learning to stay consistent along the way."

"Wanting more time doesn't make you lazy.

Honestly, I think a lot of people don't hate working.

They hate the idea of having to trade every hour of their life for money.

That's what changed for me.

I started thinking beyond:

“How can I make more money?”

and started asking:

“How can I make my money work for me?”

That's where investing changed the game for me.

And now I'm teaching my kids the same thing—not by simply handing them money, but by teaching them how to create, manage, and grow it.

Because the biggest gift we can give the next generation isn't just money.

It's knowing what to do with it.

Confidence isn't something you can simply hand to your child.

You build it through practice.

Let them order their own food.
Let them talk to adults.
Let them ask questions.
Let them make small decisions.
Let them solve problems before you jump in.

And yes, sometimes they're going to feel awkward.

That's okay.

Those little moments teach them, “I can figure this out.”

As parents, it's easy to do everything for our kids because it's faster and easier.

But if we always step in, they never get the chance to practice becoming capable.

I'm not trying to raise kids who never feel nervous.

I'm trying to raise kids who know they can handle things even when they are nervous.

And honestly, that's a life skill worth more than any allowance.

Funny how a board game can teach you a real-life lesson about money.

You can spend your whole life playing it safe.

Go to work.
Collect your paycheck.
Pay your bills.
Pay someone else's mortgage through rent.

Or you can learn how money, assets, and investing actually work and start putting yourself in a position to own instead of always paying the owner.

And no, I'm not saying you should take reckless risks.

I'm talking about calculated risks.

Learn the numbers.
Understand the downside.
Get educated.
Then make the move.

Because sometimes the biggest risk isn't investing.

It's never learning how to invest at all.

The goal isn't to become debt-free at all costs.

The goal is to become financially smarter about debt.

I used to see debt as one giant category:
BAD.

Now I look at what the debt is actually doing.

Is it funding something that loses value and drains my cash flow?

Or is it helping me acquire an asset, grow a business, or create income?

That's a completely different conversation.

But here's the part people often skip:

Leverage magnifies outcomes.

Used well, it can accelerate wealth building.

Used carelessly, it can accelerate financial problems.

So before taking on debt, don't just ask, “Can I qualify?”

Ask, “What is this money going to produce?”

That's the mindset shift.

Being a millionaire doesn't mean you suddenly forget how to be practical.

I still look at prices.
I still reuse things.
I still sell things I don't need.
And yes, sometimes my husband's truck is the best vehicle for the job. 😂

Building wealth taught me something:

Looking wealthy and being wealthy are two completely different things.

I don't need to spend money just because I can.

I'd rather keep more of my money working toward assets, investments, and the life I actually want.

Living below your means doesn't stop being a good habit just because your income or net worth increases.

If anything, it's one of the habits that helped me build wealth in the first place.

So no, you don't need the luxury car, designer everything, or an expensive lifestyle to prove you've “made it.”

Being financially secure means you have choices.

Leaving your kids money can change their circumstances.

Teaching them how to create money can change their entire future.

That's why I'm more focused on teaching my kids how to earn, save, invest, make smart decisions, and recognize opportunities.

Because money can be spent.

Assets can be lost.

But financial knowledge can keep being used over and over again.

That's the kind of generational wealth I want to build.

Not just leaving my kids something...

But making sure they know what to do with it when they get it.

Follow me if you're raising kids who will know how to build wealth, not just inherit it.

Money Lessons Most Parents Never Learned Themselves

09/01/2026

The most expensive thing you can do with your money?

Wait.

Not because you need to have a lot of money to start investing.

Because time is one of the biggest advantages you have when you're building wealth.

The earlier you start, the longer your money has to compound.

And that means you don't necessarily need to invest huge amounts later to catch up.

If you're 20, 30, 40, or even 50, don't watch these numbers and think, “Well, I already missed my chance.”

You didn't.

The lesson isn't to panic.

It's to start where you are.

And one important note: the numbers in this video assume a 10% annual return, which is not guaranteed. Real investments fluctuate, and higher potential returns come with risk.

The first $100K can feel like the hardest milestone because you're building the foundation from scratch.

You’re learning how to earn more.
You’re figuring out how to manage what you make.
You’re learning how to invest.
And most importantly, you're learning how to make your money work without you doing all the work.

Once you have that foundation, things can start to compound.

Your skills can increase your income.
Your assets can generate cash flow.
Your investments can grow.
And your money can start making money.

That doesn't mean the first $1 million is easy. It isn't.

It means the game can change once you understand how to build and leverage assets.

I remember being $100K in debt. Today, I'm focused on building assets that can continue growing without requiring every dollar to come directly from my time.

So if you're still working toward your first $100K, don't underestimate what you're building.

That first milestone can change the way you think about money forever.
