Kim and I spent the last 10 days updating our place. Lots of new art. (Thank you Limitless Photos!) Plus some new furniture and other upgrades.

We’re heartbroken by the damage in Nā‘ālehu, especially to two places we love, Punaluʻu Bake Shop and Hana Hou Restaurant. The south end of the island has always meant so much to us and seeing the community hurting has been difficult.

We’re supporting the 365 Community Fund as they help Nā‘ālehu recover, and we want to share that we personally trust the organizers, Julie and Eric. They’re not just community leaders — they’re our realtors who helped us find our oceanfront condo, and we know firsthand how deeply they care about the people and places of this island.

We’re also incredibly grateful that the Kailua Kona area remains largely untouched, even as everyone continues to brace for the next storm. Moments like this remind us how strong and connected our island community truly is.

If you’re able, please consider joining us in supporting the recovery efforts.

Every October, Kona transforms into something truly special. The energy, the grit, the months of training all come together right here on Aliʻi Drive — and our oceanfront condo sits right along the marathon course.

If you’re racing this year, Kim and I know how important it is to have a calm, comfortable place to land. Our 3‑bedroom condo sleeps six, making it easy for athletes to stay together or bring family and friends along for race week. There’s room to spread out, rest, recover, and stay focused.

If you are coming to compete, we’d love to host you and give you a home base that keeps you close to the action and the ocean.
