“Average mortgage rates peaked early in the fourth quarter of 2023 and dipped in November and December,” said Fran Gendrano, president of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®. “Though the rates are still higher than this time last year, we saw slight increases in contract signings for both markets, which tells us that buyers are still optimistic and active in their pursuit of a new home.”

April showers brings new buyers. March has been busy with fluctuating interest rates and decrease in median sales prices for single family homes, meanwhile the condo median sales price has increased.

“O‘ahu’s real estate market is rapidly changing, and it’s been an active first quarter despite year-over-year declines in some statistics. While we see advantageous conditions for buyers, including fewer bid-ups and longer days on market, prices are still high, which incentivizes sellers to list their property,” said Fran Villarmia-Kahawai, president of the Honolulu Board of REALTORS®.

Fun night at the Wahine Build launch party making new friends and reconnecting with old friends.

This year more than 200 women will build a home from foundation to finish. It will be Honolulu Habitat’s first home built by all female volunteers.

Amazing experience to witness Pele dancing in the night.

Volcano is one of my favorite places to explore. Lots of hiking trails, lava tubes, ʻōhi’a trees, hāpuʻu ferns, birds, a winery and more!
