Friendship Garden trail itself is one I'd consider easy that kids can do, even to the top lookout, but going to the Kapa'a Quarry lookout point is more of a trek.
There is limited parking in front of the trailhead at the end of Kokokahi Place, 2 parking spots. There are 2 loop trails the first is .25 miles where you'll see the stone lantern and Teahouse bridge.
The upper loop is .4 miles including 350 ft of the lower loop. Then there is a small incline to the ridge lookout where the bench is.
To the right of that is the trail that goes to the overlook of Kapa'a Quarry which is around 3 miles round trip. It has quite a few steep areas with ropes and can be overgrown. The lookout is where I stopped and turned around.
It's such a unique vantage point and you'll definitely work up a sweat but the views are worth it!
