Trust Your Gut…
Your gut, your instincts, your mother’s intuition, whatever you call that sensation you feel when you know something is wrong.
I can’t tell you how many times Molly and I have been in a clients home and their gut instinct was proven right.
Time and time again we check homes for mold and find it in rooms that “didn’t feel right” to the home owner or walls that “seemed icky”.
There’s a reason you feel that way.
And NO it’s not “All in your head”.
There’s a reason why you feel like garbage anytime you spend time in the basement or a certain room of the house.
That reason is likely mold, and regardless of what your “air test” says or the visual inspection by a “professional” who claims “you should be good” you still feel like garbage.
I know what it’s like to have multiple remediations, mold inspections, and clearance tests done and still not have your loved one feel any better.
Trust yourself.
It’s not unscientific to trust your gut on these things and check again.
And, YES, you’re stressed, and sick, but that doesn’t make you crazy, obsessed, or delusional.
Even when everyone else seems “fine”.
Science has proven over and over again that the human brain has the same capacity to process information as a super computer. Don’t you think your brain knows when something is “off” in your environment?
Don’t you believe that God created us with the ability to “know” when something is wrong?
I believe He did, and whether its, Subconsious, Supernatural, Intuition, or Information, you know something’s wrong.
Trust your gut and check it out. The mold inspector is only there for a few hours, YOU LIVE THERE.
I trust my clients when they tell me their concerns… and I would avoid inspectors who downplay your concerns or tell you “you’re fine” or say that “they would move in tomorrow”.
They aren’t you. They don’t have to deal with the health issues you’re facing.
Trust yourself. And if someone is telling you the house is fine. Tell them to prove it to you with test results that check the whole house top to bottom, behind every wall, under every floor.
My prayers go out to you and I wish you all the best.
Molly and I are here for you if you need us.
