There’s a difference between giving people a place to work and creating a place that makes them feel valued when they walk through the door.

Our newest Better Homes and Gardens office is such a beautiful example of that.

Donnie completely transformed this space because he wanted the agents who work here to feel proud to come in. To be cared for. To know that what they do matters.

And I think that says so much about the culture Donnie and Joe have built.

I just got back from one of my favorite places on earth, so it's time to play NAME THAT SPOT! 🕵️

I have a feeling some of my Michigan people are going to get this one, so I’m not giving you the obvious clues.

Clue #1: People have been drawn to this little corner of Michigan for hundreds of years, although their reasons for coming have changed quite a bit.

Clue #2: This place once changed hands during a war without a single shot being fired.

Clue #3: One of Michigan’s most recognizable buildings has been welcoming guests here since the 1800s, and subtle is definitely not its architectural style.

Clue #4: Much of what makes this place feel very different from the rest of Michigan has been deliberately protected for more than a century.
