As the fireworks from our Independence Day celebrations fade, our team is carrying that patriotic spirit forward into a massive new mission. For me, this isn't just business—it’s personal. Having spent over 10 years in the classroom as a teacher, I know firsthand the relentless dedication it takes to serve our community. My family is filled with educators, medical professionals, and military service members who give everything they have to take care of us. Also, on our own team, Brandi Stull proudly serves our local veterans as a VA Nurse, and her husband is a proud Air Force Veteran. These professions are the absolute heartbeat of Greater Kalamazoo and Southwest Michigan, yet the people filling these roles are so often underserved when it comes to achieving their own dream of homeownership.
That is why we created Homeward Bound Heroes, an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization launching this August. Our mission is simple: to make homeownership easier, more affordable, and more accessible for Veterans, local teachers, medical professionals, and first responders. Through this program, we are directly contributing part of our own real estate commissions to provide direct housing stability grants and closing cost credits to these incredible individuals right at the closing table.
But we aren't doing this alone. We are actively partnering with local lenders, title companies, and industry vendors who share our vision to bundle the absolute best loan programs, structural discounts, and waived fees available in Michigan.
