We get so many requests for help and advice for planting native plants and how to install new gardens that are beneficial to our native environment. We love helping our clients achieve this! That picture perfect green lawn is a dying fad in Kalamazoo as homeowners learn that the pesticides and fertilizers used are so harmful to our environment and lets’ be honest, looking at a huge green lawn is boring. Even if you are not wanting to turn your whole lawn into a native plant garden, what about installing a small garden? Even small gardens have a huge impact on our environment and offer beautiful flowers and foliage to enjoy. Some homeowners are hesitant to install native gardens because they think "natural prairie". This is not always the case, you can natives and still have a neat garden. If you live in a neighborhood with a high deer population and are worried that the deer will eat your new garden, we excel in planting deer resistant gardens, while also planting native species that benefit the pollinators and environment.
