I owe you all an apology: this property is already spoken for. While I was planning this post someone went ahead and made an offer on it and it got accepted. So why then, crazy lady, are you making it your ??? See, Strong Opinions Girl has very strong opinions (no kidding) on development in the community. To what conclusion? If done tastefully and responsibly, she actually kinda likes it. This land is a PRIME candidate for that. It's got everything to make a wonderful small development: resort zoning, its own beach, great topography and proximity to the beautiful chaos of downtown Hilo. This one might be the last of its kind in the area.

But why feature it? I want to highlight that these properties exist and are actually a benefit to us living here in Hawaii. Tourism is our number one industry and it generates good jobs. Prices at the Kohala resorts soared after covid, and visitors are looking for alternatives. Development in resort zones also helps alleviate the popularity of vacation rentals in residential areas that potentially take away living opportunities for local families.
