🏡 Illinois REALTORS® March 2025 Housing Market Update
Year-over-year closed home sales decreased in Illinois during March, median prices rose and slightly more homes were available for sale. "Even with inventory constraints and affordability headwinds, serious buyers are stepping in decisively when properties are priced and positioned well," says Illinois REALTORS® 2025 President Tommy Choi. "This market isn’t slowing; it’s evolving. And those who adapt are winning.”
- Statewide closed sales fell 4.3 percent, with 9,669 home sold.
- Historically low statewide inventory increased 1.7 percent
- Median prices rose to $295,000, a 5 percent increase from last year.
