Headed to downtown Kannapolis this weekend? Catch a ride on one of the FREE West Avenue Express Shuttles, running 5-10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays. 🚌

The two ADA accessible shuttles, nicknamed Lightning and Thunder, will make a continuous loop between four designated stops:

🚌The North Carolina Research Campus public parking deck
🚌Top of the horseshoe
🚌The First Baptist Church rear access area
🚌The Swanee Theatre

Look for the signage designating the express stops.

Can you believe we are officially ONE MONTH AWAY from the Town of Harrisburg 4th of July Celebration? 🎆💥Join us July 3 & 4 for two days filled with live music, fireworks, food, rides, games, and family fun!

DON'T FORGET! Harrisburg residents can pick up FREE admission wristbands and FREE amusement ride wristbands at Town Hall RIGHT NOW! Skip the line at the gate and stop by Town Hall, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., so you don't miss out! Town Hall pick-up will be available until noon on July 3rd.

Join us on Friday, July 3 for a double dose of patriotic fun as we celebrate America's 250th Birthday!

First up, our Family Celebration at Stumptown Park! The fun kicks off at 5:00pm with live music from The Hitmen Party Band, bounce houses, festive food, balloon twisting, and craft beer from Seaboard Brewing until 8:30pm.

Then, head over to the Mecklenburg County Sportsplex at Matthews for our third annual Fireworks Spectacular. Fireworks are scheduled to launch at 9:30pm.

**The start time for fireworks could be a little later, depending on the weather conditions and visibility.**

As a courtesy to others and our community, please take your trash with you when you leave the fireworks display.

The Town of Harrisburg’s July 4th Celebration is almost here! Join us July 3 & 4 for two days of rides, entertainment, fireworks, and community celebration. 🎆🎡

This year's celebration is better than ever before! Harrisburg residents can receive FREE admission and FREE amusement ride wristbands by picking them up in advance at Town Hall before the event. To ensure a safe, secure, and family-friendly environment, we’re introducing a few updates to our entry process this year:

🎟️ WRISTBANDS REQUIRED: All attendees will need a wristband to enter the event. We strongly encourage getting wristbands ahead of time to save money, skip the gate lines, and make entry quicker and easier.

Harrisburg residents can claim FREE admission and ride wristbands in person at Town Hall NOW through July 3 at 12 p.m. with a valid ID. If you wait to get your wristbands at the gate on the day of the event, admission is still free, but ride wristbands will be available for purchase. We highly recommend stopping by Town Hall early, so you don't miss out on free rides!
