As a good rule of thumb, you should expect your closing costs to be between 2%-5% of the purchase price of the home. The gap is because they vary based on your area and title company you close with. This covers the fees that are related to title origination and underwriting, appraisal fees and taxes and insurance. Make sure when you are looking at a home, you have enough wiggle room for the down payment, plus your closing costs 🙂
