Built from history. Charged with energy. Rooted in Kansas City.
Get the chance to bid on Night Ball, a 2024 acrylic on canvas by artist Daniel Montoute, at reStart’s Art Auction this Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center in the Crossroads.
This powerful work pays tribute to the Kansas City Monarchs and the groundbreaking innovation of night baseball in the historic 18th & Vine District. Framed in handcrafted, blowtorch-charred wood, the piece reflects both the grit and resilience of the community it honors. Night Ball transforms a historic legacy into a vivid exploration of nightlife, motion, and cultural endurance in Kansas City.
