When we talk about investing in Kansas City, we have to make sure our neighborhoods and our young people are part of that investment. 💙⚾
I’m proud to have worked alongside my fellow South Kansas City councilmembers to ensure our community was included in the Royals Community Impact Agreement, including a $5 million commitment to youth sports.
This means more opportunities for our youth to play, learn, develop their skills and be part of a team, while investing in the parks and facilities that serve our families.
This is what working together for our community looks like. When Kansas City grows, our neighborhoods should grow with it.
I’m excited about what this investment will mean for South Kansas City and the next generation.
