Tiffany Castle

Tiffany Castle Tiffany Castle is an historic property high above the Missouri River just off Cliff Drive. Secluded, Tiffany Castle was built in 1909 by Dr. Flavel Tiffany.

He was a leading ENT doctor in Kansas City. Tiffany Springs is named after the doctor. The home has 18 inch thick walls, a stone fireplace, imported and domestic woodwork, stunning stained & beveled glass. Apple, peach, pear & plum trees are just some of the beautiful outdoor features of the castle. The home is slowly being restored and updated by its current owner. The goal is to return it to it's original splendor and preserve it for future generations.

The city planning commission will hear the case Wednesday, March 4th, 9 AM City Hall, 10th floor hearing room… If you can attend and show your support, that would be great!  if you can’t attend, join our group to show your support.

This is the official contractor for the Tiffany Castle. They have done it all: 4 bathrooms, kitchen, roof, and other smaller projects. It has been a 10 year relationship and I recommend them highly.

Tiffany Castle and its neighbors need your help! Please join the FB page called Save Historic Smith Hall if you are a lover of historic buildings. KCU has applied for a permit to demolish this perfectly functional building (below) on thier campus, right in Pendleton Heights. More members mean more power as we fight this battle. KCU has already gobbled up and bulldozed over a dozen structures in our neighborhood. We are not going down without a fight this time. Our case goes before the Historic Preservation Commission on Friday Dec 19th. If you can attend, we would love to have your support.
