Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for our annual Forecast Panel Luncheon at The View at Briarcliff! We enjoyed a wonderful networking hour and lunch, kicked off by Programs Chair Kevin Maughan, CPM (Newmark Zimmer) and expertly moderated by Thomas Friestad (The Kansas City Business Journal, soon to be Senior Reporter covering Kansas City’s City Hall with The Beacon Kansas City).

Our experts highlighted how Kansas City is navigating high lending costs, shifting municipality strategies, and a strong focus on affordability. While Class A properties and collaborative office spaces remain resilient, older office assets are finding new life through adaptive reuse. The region is experiencing exciting momentum driven by major infrastructure and transit milestones, including the expanded streetcar line fueling midtown development, major industrial tailwinds from the rail merger and power infrastructure, and thriving mixed-use communities across the metro from the Plaza to Lenexa and Zona Rosa.
