Last week, Miu and Alexis represented Twelfth Street Heritage at the NeighborWorks America conference, connecting with nonprofit and community development leaders from across the country.

Throughout the conference, they gained valuable insights into housing, nonprofit leadership, organizational growth, and strategies for building stronger communities. We are also proud to celebrate Alexis for earning her certificate in Affordable Housing—an achievement that strengthens her expertise and supports our continued commitment to expanding housing opportunities in Kansas City.

Twelfth Street Heritage was proud to attend the 21st Century ROAD Ahead Housing Summit, presented by Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II.

The summit brought together housing leaders, policymakers, and community development professionals for important conversations surrounding the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, increasing local housing supply, strengthening partnerships, and addressing the national housing crisis.

These conversations directly connect to the work we do every day at Twelfth Street Heritage. Creating and preserving quality housing is about more than buildings. It is about strengthening neighborhoods, creating opportunities for families, and investing in communities for generations to come.

Thank you to Congressman Emanuel Cleaver II and everyone who helped bring leaders together for this important discussion. We are grateful to have been in the room and look forward to continuing the work right here in Kansas City.
