Legend Oaks Gated Community is currently seeking a full-time Groundskeeper for our 216-unit apartment complex. The Groundskeeper maintains all common areas and grounds of the community in a clean, attractive condition.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in the application of pesticides for the purpose of controlling insects and weeds.
Cleans landscaped areas and related items (e.g. storm drains, fields, litter, etc.) for the purpose of preventing flooding and removing hazards.
Maintains playground equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition
Maintains job-related, groundskeeping equipment
Plants a variety of landscaping materials (e.g. lawns, shrubbery, flowers, etc.) for the purpose of keeping the grounds attractive and protecting against erosion.
Fertilizes soil and seeds, courtyards, flower beds, chalk fields, paint stripping, etc.
Requests materials, supplies, equipment, and/or support personnel for the purpose of completing assignments in a timely manner.
Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g. facility damage, vandalism, alarms, etc.)
Transports a variety of tools, equipment, supplies, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at the job site.
Keep property in "inspection-ready" condition at all times.
Inspects the overall cleanliness of the community each morning, including all public and common areas.
Keep streets and curbs free of debris and monitored throughout the day.
Prepare for monthly landscaping "grounds walks" paying special attention to grounds and picnic areas.
Empty all available trash cans in all common areas and replaces with bags as needed
Ensure the Leasing Office parking lot and front entrance are kept neat and clean at all times.
Assist maintenance in testing the pool chemical levels and record readings
Neatly arrange pool furniture and sweep/clean decks as needed
Maintain a clean and orderly shop and pump room
Keep grills in the picnic area clean
Assist in keeping breezeways free of debris and cobwebs, and clean lights as needed
Keep building entrances clean
Remove snow and ice in inclement weather and keep sidewalks and building access free of hazards, as applicable.
Assist Maintenance Supervisor in various maintenance functions to ensure the smooth operation of the property
Check with Leasing Office on a regular basis for items to deliver to residents
Report any problems that need management attention
Must secure equipment at the end of each day.

• Hours: M-F 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; some overtime may be necessary
• Wages:$12.00 to $14.00 per hour depending on experience
