Troostwood Neighborhood Troostwood Neighborhood is a wonderful community of professionals, students, families, and retirees tucked away in one of Kansas City's best little corners.

Troostwood is a great community of families, students, professionals & retirees in one of KC's best little corners (Troost to Paseo & MLK Jr to 52nd/Rockhurst). Made up of approximately 364 homes, with nearby businesses and university campuses, it is located just east of the Plaza. Our boundaries are Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. to Rockhurst Rd., Troost Ave. to The Paseo.

Thanks to Kansas City Community Gardens, Rockhurst University, and Troostwood volunteers, the Troostwood Pocket Park now has two raised garden beds. Look for a pizza garden and a salad garden this spring!

Three new plum trees and two new persimmon trees in the Troostwood Pocket Park, at 49th Street and Troost, thanks to Arbor Day Foundation and Bridging The Gap. We had a great group of Troostwood volunteers get rained on and covered in dirt, as they helped plant, w**d, and label.
