Happy 816 Day! We are grateful for Kansas City’s recognition today of Troostwood and other recipients of the Neighborhood Empowerment Grant and for the support of city staff and Ryana Parks-Shaw, Councilwoman 5th District. A huge shout out to the volunteers who make everything Troostwood does possible. Our neighborhood is a wonderful place because of the people. Thanks to our neighbors who care for each other and our community!

Dumpster Day is an event the Troostwood neighborhood looks forward to each year. Thanks to 49/63 Neighbors for supporting the rental of two dumpsters! This also marks our third year partnering with Flourish Furniture to keep furniture and other household items out of the landfill. (Photos from 2025, forgot to take photos today!)
